Frozen 2 : What I thought

I recently got Disney Plus and my little sister made me watch Frozen 2, a sequel to a franchise I so much hate and despise. As a reviewer I wanted to watch it to see if it is as bad as the prequel.

The Review

First of all, the movie has taken a decent bit of story from Nickelodeon’s show Avatar the Last Airbender. The same themes; 4 elements, Air, Water, Fire, Earth, same “the most powerful of the benders theme”. But apart from that, the movie is bland. I cannot say it was bad, I cannot say it was good. Sure, the animation is good, but everything is bland. Bland story, bland characters. I mean, even a part where Kristoff tries to propose to Anna was bland. They make the whole movie making Kristoff propose, but nothing happens when they actually propose…. It’s a proposal, like every other person.

Also, they suddenly made Anna the mature one and Elsa is just the girl with issues. I don’t mind that, but they could’ve made it a part of the story instead of telling us “hey! Elsa is a girl with social issues and Anna is the mature and responsible one.”. 

But I can’t say I didn’t enjoy some parts. I enjoyed the amazing graphics; I enjoyed the characters as people. But apart from that, it was fine.

Conclusion

Overall, it was fine, nothing interesting. If I were to describe it, I would say “It is a movie”.

But don’t get me wrong, it’s not a deliberate cash grab, they wanted to make a sequel, they made it.
